Welcome Guests and Visitors

In keeping with the spirit of Jesus Christ, all are welcome at Trinity Episcopal Church Rocky Hill.
Whether you are new area, are looking to join a church, curious about the Episcopal faith, or simply have been been a non-church goer for awhile, we invite you to come and worship with us.  And afterwards, stay for coffee and a snack!

We understand that attending a new church, or a church with a faith than you may not be familiar with, can be daunting.  Please don't let that keep you from attending.  We were all strangers once!  To make our guests and visitors feel more comfortable, below, we have answered some basic questions.  Please email us with any additional questions you may have at [email protected]

Sunday Services

Trinity Episcopal Church Rocky Hill celebrates Rite II Eucharistic services on Sunday mornings at 10:00am (with our choir).  You can follow along with the service in our bulletin which is available at the church (and posted on our Home page). During the service we use the Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal 1982.

After our 10am service, we join together in the Parish Hall for coffee and refreshments.  All are welcome.  Don't be shy, we are a friendly group!

Communion

At Trinity Episcopal Church Rocky Hill we believe that anyone seeking a relationship with Jesus is welcome to receive the sacrament of communion. Children may receive communion with parental permission.

When it is time for communion, please approach the altar.  When you receive the chalice with the wine, you may have a sip, or dip the communion wafer in it. If you do not wish to receive communion, you are welcome to approach the altar to receive a blessing.  To do this, cross your hands over your heart when you are at the altar.

Of course, if you are unable to walk to the altar, the bread and wine will be brought to you in your pew.
There are simple guidelines for sitting, kneeling and standing during the service.
  • Sit - For readings (other than the Gospel) and the sermon
  • Kneel - Confession of Sin, Eucharistic Pray, receiving communion, during your prayers
  • Stand - Singing and listening to the Gospel
Please realize that if you have difficulty kneeling that is fine.  There is no pressure here!
